Montgomery Inn- Dublin, OH

Montgomery Inn was running an all you can eat ribs special this weekend for just $19.95, so I definitely had to take advantage. I’m glad Montgomery Inn finally made it up to the Columbus area, because driving all the way to Cincy for ribs it just a little crazy.

This was my first visit to the somewhat new location in Dublin. I was overwhelmed with how big this location is. I feel like there are hidden rooms throughout this place. It also looked like they had a decent sized patio. I was seated in the Buckeye Room on this visit. I’m not a Buckeyes fan, but I am a fan of tradition, so the memorabilia was cool to see.

Having had Montgomery Inn ribs before I knew what I was in for. These ribs are really hard to beat. The meat literally falls off the bone and the sauce has a nice combination of sweet and spicy. Along with the ribs came their Saratoga chips. Nothing too special about these, they are really just house made potato chips that you dip in their famous barbeque sauce. I layed off the chips to make sure I could keep my focus on the ribs. I set a goal for myself to have 20 clean rib bones by the end of the meal. I only made it to 15. I know you’re saying really only 5 more, but I could not fit one more bite of meat in my belly without exploding. Usually a full slab of ribs (10 bones) runs $25, so I definitely got my moneys worth.

The manager of this location stopped by while we were finishing up. It’s always nice to have good customer service. We started chatting about what are most ribs someone has ever eaten during the all you can eat event. He said a guy in Cincy one time put down 73 ribs. 73, are you kidding me? He said this guy was just normal size too. I don’t know how you even fit that much meat in your stomach. I bet that guy was hurting for a couple of days to say the least.

I’ve had my fix of ribs for a while, but whenever I get the craving again I will definitely make another trip to Montgomery Inn. I’d also suggest if you are ever in Cincy to check out the original or boathouse locations.
